An Interview with Louise

Does writing energize or exhaust you?

I’m dyslexic so the very act of reading and writing does physically tire me more than it would someone without dyslexia, that said, mentally I always feel energized and excited while writing.

Did you ever consider writing under a pseudonym?

No, I am happy to be known as a writer, especially as a woman I feel it's important for women to be seen. Also, I am incredibly proud to represent the Neuro Diverse community.

Name two TV shows that have inspired you, and why?

M*A*S*H, this was my favourite TV show growing up. It was heartfelt, honest, funny and sad. They inspired something in me that made me want to be a doctor. The characters were perfect and flawed and relatable. And, well, Alan Alda…

After that it’s the usual geeky list; Doctor Who, Supernatural, Good Omens, Lucifer, American Gods, all the Marvel shows. I love characters who face difficult situations to spare others harm. Often driven by high moral standards, kindness, equity and a need to leave the world better than how they found it.
